Arthur Robb was appointed a director of Bui Bolg Limited on 6th of November 2003.
Arthur trained as an accountant in the early 1970’s. He was employed by Ericsson Telecommunications in Dublin and Athlone until 1986 as Finance Manager .He took up the position of Financial Controller with Snap-Tite Europe, aUSA Hydraulics Engineering company in 1986, and became Managing Director of the company in 1996, a position he held until 2002.
In 2002, he left the company to set up his own Accounting & Business service company and continues in this role to the present day.
Annette Lowney was appointed a director of Bui Bolg on 2nd of September 1994.
Annette has been in business for over 40 years in Wexford. Her main area of business is furniture retail but has also been involved with transport, wholesale distribution and property. She has been key to the company in securing credit and dealing with financial institutions. Currently she manages an antique shop and prop hire business supplying furniture and dressing for theatre and television.
Jim Wallace was appointed a director of Bui Bolg on the 10th of December 2015.
Jim Wallace is a son of a tailor and had lived most of his life in Wexford. Educated at De la Salle College, Waterford. He has lived England where he trained as a Clothing Design Technician at Jacob Kramer College Leeds, remaining in England obtaining experience in the clothing industry before returning to Wexford to work in his father business. Jim in a member of ISME and has worked on their council for a number of years.
Over various transitions he has worked in High Fashion Men’s wear selling to the international markets to now owning and running his own company, he is a Master Tailor making high quality garments for his clients which include the all officers in the defence forces.
As a member of Junior Chamber of Commerce for 7 years, he became President in Wexford in 1986.
Jim continues to run his own business and also lecture tailoring in the National Tailoring Academy on a part time basis.
Mark Mahoney was appointed a Director on the 10th of December 2015.
Mark Mahoney is a freelance consultant with experience across the cultural, creative and tourism industries, providing assistance for business development and planning, strategic marketing and implementation and video concept development and production. Mark’s previous experience includes three years as Marketing Manager for Wexford Festival Opera and Wexford Opera House, and a further three years as Managing Director of Highwind Media, online media specialists.
Tom Duffy was appointed a member of the board in March 2014.
He is a percussionist specialising in afro-Brazilian music for over 20 years. He holds the musical directorship of Maracatu Ilha Brilhante (Ireland’s only all island percussion/ cultural group) is a member of the pan-European Ensemble Maracatu Europa. He works as a music facilitator, session musician and teacher recognised by The Teaching Council of Ireland.
Tom has trained internationally with masters of Brazilian music including Dudu Tucci, Brazilian Mestres: Afonso Filho (Maracatu Nação Leão Coroado), Gilmar (Maracatu Estrela Brilhante de Igarassu) Luis Claudio de Farias of Maranhão ; Sam Alexander (London) amongst others.
Specialising in Music from the North of Brazil and Brazilian ceremonial music; Tom has led and initiated many groups and projects in Ireland including the recent ‘6th European Maracatu Encontro’ International Cultural Event in Limerick (2014). He was a ‘Business to Arts’ award winner in 2014 for his engagement with Coca Cola staff in Drogheda.
Marianne Mc Mullin was appointed a member of the board in March 2014.
She studied business and legal studies in UCD and has worked as an accountant at a number of private firms in Dublin. She moved to the Bank of Ireland in 2000 and works in systems testing and analysis. She develops procedural checks for internal systems and oversees their implementation.
She is a keen athlete and has performed with the school of stage combat in Dublin as well as taking part in a number of Bui Bolg parades.
Brendan O Flaherty was appointed a member of the board in March 2014.
Brendan has over 30 years experience working in advertising and marketing. In 2005 he set up his own digital media company “BRANDO” in dublin.
Under his Creative Direction the company works for clients such as UPC ,HMV, Tiger Beer and the AA , creating and producing campaigns for web, television and radio.
